On Tuesday 23 November 2021, Luxembourg's Prime Minister and Minister of Religion, Xavier Bettel, visited the Luxembourg School of Religion and Society at the latter's invitation.

Founded in 2015, the Luxembourg School of Religion and Society (LSRS) carries out research and training projects in a dialogical and interdisciplinary approach in the fields of philosophy, theologies, religious sciences and related human sciences with scientific collaboration and culture of all the cults approved in Luxembourg.

The Prime Minister was welcomed by Professor Jean Ehret, Director of the LSRS, Léo Wagener, Auxiliary Bishop, Henri Grethen, member of the Strategic Orientation Council, Anne Brasseur, member of the Council of Elders, and Monique Kemp, Secretary General of the LSRS.

After a presentation of collaborators, activities and cooperation with partner universities, Prime Minister Xavier Bettel had an exchange with the teaching teams of the LSRS on the research projects currently in progress.

In this context, the Prime Minister underlined the importance of having a forum for exchanges between religions but also between religions and sciences and thanked the LSRS for its contribution to the efforts of interreligious and societal dialogue.
