Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, noted that the station control centre in Noertzange was the origin of this week’s several rail traffic disruptions between Bettembourg and Esch-sur-Alzette.
The technical teams of the CFL have been continuously investigating to identify the origin of the partial failure of this infrastructure.
The CFL has confirmed that technical teams will carry out repairs at the level of this station control centre during the night of Friday 12 April to Saturday 13 April 2024. As a result of these repair works, train services on the Luxembourg - Esch-sur-Alzette - Rodange and Noertzange - Rumelange lines will be suspended.
The following train connections will be cancelled:
- Luxembourg – Rodange, departing in Luxembourg 23:32, 01:18, 03:18;
- Rodange – Luxembourg, departing from Rodange 01:32, 02:32, 04:32 on Saturday 13 April 2024;
- Esch-sur-Alzette – Luxembourg, 04:48 on Saturday;
- Noertzange – Rumelange, no train between Noertzange and Rumelange on Friday 12 April 2024.
More information, including the schedule of the replacement and alternative buses (RGTR and TICE lines) will be available on the website www.cfl.lu or via the CFL mobile application during this time.
