Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, has confirmed that a Second World War bomb found near the Buchler Bridge in Luxembourg-Gare on Wednesday morning has been successfully defused.

CFL employees are now moving to the various operational buildings which had to be evacuated in view of the security perimetre put in place.

Trains are set to gradually resume from 18:00 on Wednesday 7 September 2022.

The CFL noted that some delays and cancellations may still occur. Passengers are advised to consult the website www.cfl.lu or on the CFL mobile application for further details.
