Luxembourg Gare Footbridge to Reopen on 15 September

The Public Transport Administration of Luxembourg's Ministry of Mobility and Public Works has announced that the railway footbridge connecting the Gare and Bonnevoie districts in Luxembourg City will reopen next Wednesday.

Modernisation works on the northern footbridge connecting Place de la Gare to the Rocade de Bonnevoie began on 14 May 2021 and will now end on 15 September 2021. 

The reopening of the footbridge was initiatlly scheduled for 13 September 2021 but had to be postponed due to unfavourable weather conditions affecting the completion of works.

The new footbridge forms part of the Luxembourg railway station (Gare de Luxembourg) extension and modernisation project. Its renewal was aimed at modernising the structure and also offering barrier-free access to all users.
