On Friday evening, the electrical storm that passed through Luxembourg with torrential rain, thunder and lightning and hail in places, caused various damage, including uprooting trees and flooding.

Luxembourg's railways, the CFL, announced that Line 30 (Luxembourg - Wasserbilling - Trier) was disrupted on Friday evening as a result of a tree that fell onto equipment near Manternach. Train traffic was interrupted throughout Friday evening, between Wecker and Wasserbillig, in both directions. In the meantime, the CFL laid on a substitute shuttle service by bus between Wecker to Wasserbillig in both directions, serving the Manternach and Mertert stops.
