More in 24 Luxembourg has announced the culmination of its project with an upcoming roundtable discussion focused on the European elections.
More in 24, an initiative led by the European Youth Card Association (EYCA) and endorsed by the European Parliament, aims to ignite a movement for change, encouraging young people to exercise their democratic rights. Its mission is to foster a united front where every voice in society is heard in the upcoming European elections, which are taking place across the EU from 6 to 9 June 2024 (9 June in Luxembourg).
As part of this initiative, More in 24 Luxembourg is organising a roundtable between European election candidates and young people at Forum Geesseknäppchen in Luxembourg-Merl (40 Boulevard Pierre Dupong) on Friday 10 May 2024, from 18:00 to 20:30.
According to the organisers, this event promises to be a "dynamic" gathering featuring "brief, inspiring" talks and insights from European election candidates on the future of Europe and its youth. Attendees can anticipate a "lively" dialogue with candidates from various parties, offering them the chance to delve into key issues affecting the European continent and its younger generations.
The event will be moderated by three changemakers: Tommy Jack, Sam Elsey and Esther Adelakun. Candidates such as Marc Angel (LSAP), Tilly Metz (Greens), Fernand Kartheiser (ADR), Metty Steinmetz (CSV) and Christos Floros (DP) are among the panellists. Entry is free; register via Eventbrite.
"This event marks the culmination of a year of engagement with schools, associations and municipalities, empowering our diverse communities in Luxembourg to effect change. We are excited to bring together passionate individuals and organisations for this roundtable discussion, amplifying participation in the EU elections. I am thrilled to close More in 24 Luxembourg on a positive note," commented Marie-Ange Neu, the event organiser and project coordinator at More in 24 Luxembourg.
