Another round of swearing-in ceremonies for Luxembourg's newly appointed mayors and aldermen/alderwomen, following the recent municipal (local) elections, took place on Wednesday 12 July 2023.

On Wednesday, Luxembourg's Minister for Home Affairs, Taina Bofferding, swore in the colleges of mayors and aldermen/alderwomen of the municipalities of Betzdorf, Colmar-Berg, Garnich, Junglinster, Kiischpelt, Kopstal, Mertert, Troisvierges, Walferdange and Winsler.

At 10:00, ten mayors and 20 aldermen/alderwomen took the new oath prescribed by Article 6 of the amended municipal law of 13 December 1988 in front of Minister Bofferding: "I swear to observe the Constitution and the laws and to fulfil my function with integrity, exactitude and impartiality."

Kiischpelt: Yves Kaiser, mayor; Jos Fischbach, alderman; Serge Zenner, alderman.

Kopstal: Thierry Schuman, mayor; Josy Popov, alderman; Raoul Weicker, alderman.

Mertert: Jérôme Laurent, mayor; Jos Schummer, alderman; Lucien Bechtold, alderman.
