The Luxembourgish brass band Hunneg-Strëpp has announced that it is launching the second edition of the "Hunneg-Strëpp & Friends" concert at the Kulturfabrik in Esch-sur-Alzette on Friday 1 March 2024; doors open at 19:30 with the show starting at 20:00.

This event, which also marks the 100th concert played by Hunneg-Strëpp, follows a successful first edition in September 2019.

Known for its innovative arrangements and creativity, Hunneg-Strëpp strives to breathe new life into familiar tunes, tackling a variety of musical genres, from rock classics to pop hits, from techno anthems to hip hop beats, since 2017. The eight-piece band has already played 99 concerts, including at events such as the Fête de la Musique in Luxembourg City and Dudelange and the e-Lake Festival in Echternach.

Like the 2019 edition, the upcoming concert brings together Hunneg-Strëpp and other Luxembourgish groups and artists, representing different styles of music: Maz (rap/hip hop; returning after the 2019 edition), Schëppe Siwen (folk-punk), KLEIN. (jazz) and No Metal in this Battle (afro-post-punk). Hunneg-Strëpp collaborated with renowned musicians/composers Georges Sadler and Pol Belardi to arrange and adapt the songs of these Luxembourgish artists for wind instruments for the first time. The brass band will perform these songs (eight in total) in synergy with the artists, who, in turn, will perform a song from the former's repertoire.

DJ Bobby Bieles will kick off the evening by warming up the audience with his beats. Afterwards, party-goers can stay on for a DJ set by Miss Sappho at the afterparty at the Ratelach (Kulturfabrik).

Tickets cost €12 and are available from the Kulturfabrik website: https://kulturfabrik.lu/event/hunneg-strepp-friends-vol-2.
