Damian Robert Nesta Marley, also known around the world as “Junior Gong” and more recently as “Gongzilla” will be playing a concert on Monday 13 July 2015 at Den Atelier.

The reggae musician was born in 1978 to reggae legend Bob Marley and Miss World 1976, Cindy Breakspeare. His career started at the tender age of 13, when he formed the muscial group 'The Shephards', before starting his solo career in 1996 with debut album 'Mr. Marley'.

The artist has gone on to carve out his own rightful niche in music history, winning Best Reggae Album and Best Urban/Alternative Performance at the 2006 Grammy Awards for the album 'Welcome to Jamrock' and debuting at number five on the US Billboard 200 chart with his 'Distant Relatives' album, on which he collaborated with rapper and record producer Nas.

The style of Damian's music is a self-proclaimed 'dancehall and reggae' blend, a representation of Jamaican culture in general. He is a Rastafarian and describes himself as a ‘Spiritual Revolutionary’.
