A new temporary exhibition about the history of Luxembourgers in the French Foreign Legion will be open to the public at Musée Dräi Eechelen in Luxembourg-Kirchberg from 1 July to 28 November 2021.

The multimedia exhibition "Légionnaires: Parcours de guerre et de migrations entre le Luxembourg et la France" is the result of a scientific collaboration between Musée Dräi Eechelen and the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) of the University of Luxembourg.

This exhibition, curated jointly by François Reinert, Simone Feis and Ralph Lange from the National Museum of History and Art and Musée Dräi Eechelen and Denis Scuto, Sandra Camarda and Arnaud Sauer from the C²DH, highlights the fruit of research on Luxembourgers who joined the French Foreign Legion.

The exhibition space and the multimedia project, designed by 2Farchitettura and Tokonoma, aim to reflect the complexity of the subject by offering visitors a unique immersive and interactive experience. A treasure hunt developed by the VR / AR Lab of the University of Luxembourg completes the exhibition, allowing visitors to discover places associated with the history of legionaries throughout Luxembourg City.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 1 July to 28 November 2021. An opening session will take place on 30 June 2021 at 18:30 upon registration via email: servicedespublics@mnha.etat.lu.
