The National Museum of History and Art and the Musée Dräi Eechelen will be offering a visit with the 'Société Luxembourgeoise d'Histoire Urbaine' on Sunday 12 July 2015 at 14:30.
The tour will involve 'The Villas Boulevard Joseph II' in Luxembourgish with historian Robert L. Philippart. Philippart was a contributor to Emile Haag's recent publication "The Rise of Luxembourg frm Independence to Success", which examined interesting facets of Luxembourg's past, such as how a small stretch of land in the heart of Europe became an independent country less than sixty years after its appearance on the continent in 1815 and how the country emerged from the political turbulences of the late 20th century stronger than before.
The tour will last an hour and a half, departing from the Chapelle du Glacis at 14:30 and arriving at Avenue Marie-Thérèse at 16:00. Visitors will also have the unique opportunity to go inside the chapel of the Congrégation de Sainte Elisabeth.
