Luxembourg's National Roads Administration recently announced that works on the CR110 would begin this weekend as part of the construction of a bypass in Käerjeng.

Infrastructure and network works on the CR110 will last from Saturday 10 December 2022 until the beginning of March 2023, as part of the diversion of Air Liquide and Creos gas pipes at Bascharage station. The National Roads Administration added that forestry works were also necessary. The first clearing work began on Thursday 8 December 2022.

In order to be able to safely carry out the felling of trees, the road (CR110) between Sanem and Bascharage will be blocked for individual traffic from 07:30 on Saturday 10 December 2022 until 18:00 on Sunday 11 December 2022. A diversion via the A13 has been put in place. Traffic will be diverted locally on two narrow lanes with a speed limit.

The National Roads Administration recalled that these works are scheduled now for the following reasons: outside the vegetation period, environmental nuisances are limited (birds and bats); minimisation of inconvenience to traffic given the work in progress on Boulevard Kennedy in Bascharage; ensuring security of supply for activities in the Bommelscheuer industrial area; shutdown of production at the Guardian-Luxguard company due to the installation of a new furnace (production of flat glass).
