The Grand Ducal Police have reported a fatal road accident on Monday 21 November 2022.
At around 14:10 on the CR226 route from Itzig in the direction of Contern, a traffic accident occurred in which a driver, for reasons that have not yet been clarified, got into the opposite lane with her car and struck a tree. The car then crashed into another tree.
The driver received first aid on the spot before being taken to the hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries there.
The route was closed for the duration of the rescue and clearance work.
