The Grand Ducal Police have reported a fatal road accident on Thursday 25 August 2022.
Immediately after the Belgian border on the A6 motorway, there was a first rear-end traffic accident at around 03:10, which occurred near Windhof in the direction of Luxembourg.
This first accident led to a traffic jam as debris and damaged vehicles had to be cleared from the highway.
During this work, another rear-end collision occurred at around 04:10, with a delivery van hitting a semi-trailer lorry from behind that was stuck in the traffic jam.
The only occupant of the van was fatally injured and later died at the accident site.
