The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a fatal road accident occurred on the N15, near the "Schumanns Eck" interchange, in north-western Luxembourg this morning.
At around 07:30 on Monday 7 February 2022, there was a collision between two cars on the N15.
According to initial findings, one of the motorists had tried to overtake another car on the route from Schumanns Eck in the direction of Buderscheid. The motorist lost control of his vehicle and crashed into an oncoming car. The first vehicle was thrown into an adjacent forest area, where it came to a standstill.
The 26-year-old man from Erpeldange (the driver of the first car) died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
The road was closed for the duration of the emergency operation.
