The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a road accident which took place on Thursday afternoon on the CR141A in Mertert has resulted in serious injuries for the motorcyclist involved.
Shortly before 15:00 in Mertert, in eastern Luxembourg, a motorcyclist lost control of his / her motorcycle in a left turn and hit a road sign on a concrete pillar. The driver was thrown from the motorcycle and into a ditch off the opposite lane.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries. During the rescue and clearance work, the road was closed for 40 minutes. An accident report was drawn up.
