Roadworks to Affect Traffic on A6 this Week

Luxembourg's Roads Authority has announced a number of traffic changes for the coming days, related to roadworks on the A6; these works will take place from this evening until Thursday morning. 

From 21:00 on Monday 14 October to 06:00 on Tuesday 15 October, the following traffic changes are foreseen: the slip road from the Strassen interchange (S4) coming from the direction of the Helfenterbruck interchange (S5) will be closed to traffic (the exit will remain closed until the end of 2020); one-lane traffic on the A6 from the Helfenterbruck interchange (S5) in the direction of the Bridel interchange (S3); traffic coming from the Helfenterbruck interchange (S5) will be diverted via the A6 and the Bridel interchange (S3).

From 21:00 on Tuesday 15 October to 06:00 on Wednesday 16 October, the following traffic changes are foreseen: the slip road at the Strassen interchange (S4) coming from the N6 and going towards the Bridel (S3) and Helfenterbruck interchanges (S5) on the A6 will be closed to traffic; the slip road from the Strassen interchange (S4) coming from the Helfenterbruck interchange (S5) will also be closed during this time; traffic on the N6 coming from Luxembourg will be diverted via the CR181 and the Bridel interchange (S3); traffic on the N6 coming from Bertrange will be diverted via the N6, onto Rue des Aubépines, the N5, the Helfenterbruck interchange and then onto the A6; traffic coming from the Helfenterbruck interchange (S5) will be diverted via the A6 and the Bridel interchange (S3).

Finally, from 21:00 on Wednesday 16 October to 06:00 on Thursday 17 October, the following traffic changes are foreseen: the slip road from the Strassen interchange (S4) on the A6 coming from the Bridel interchange (S3); the slip road from the Strassen interchange (S4) coming from the Helfenterbruck interchange (S5); traffic coming from the Bridel interchange (S3) will be diverted via the A6, the Helfenterbruck interchange (S5), onto the N34, the Helfenterbruck interchange (S5), back onto the A6, to the Bridel interchange (S3), the CR181 and the N6; traffic coming from the Helfenterbruck interchange (S5) will be diverted via the A6, the Bridel interchange (S3), onto the CR181 and finally onto the N6.
