This weekend, Luxembourg racing driver Dylan Pereira took part in the second round of the 2020 Porsche Carrera Cup Germany at the Sachsenring, where he finished three times on the podium and rose to 2nd place in the drivers' classification.

The second, third and fourth races of the season brought with them three days full of emotion, on a dangerous circuit where it is difficult to overtake. The track is narrow, has a few blind turns and some very fast sections.

In free practice, Dylan Pereira stayed in the lead and was the fastest driver of the session.

In timed practice, which determined the order of the starting grid, Dylan Pereira had 35 minutes to complete three great laps. The Luxembourger remained among the fastest riders throughout and ultimately secured 3rd place on the starting grid for the first and second races and pole position for the third race of the weekend.

In the first race at the Sachsenring, which took place on Saturday afternoon, Dylan Pereira got off to a great start and immediately climbed to 2nd place. During the first laps, the Förch Racing team driver had to work harder to keep his opponents behind him. With 10 minutes from the end of the race, the Luxembourger managed to recover the second and a half he was behind and with five minutes remaining, he took the lead in the race and crossed the finish line almost three and a half seconds ahead of Larry ten Voorde, who was in second place.

In the second race, on Sunday morning, Dylan Pereira started again from 3rd place on the grid. He lost two places at the start of the race, which he quickly recovered in the first lap after overtaking both opponents who were ahead of him in one fell swoop. Following the entry of the safety car, Dylan Pereira maintained his position and started to put pressure on the drivers ahead. With 15 minutes from the end of the race, he managed to move up to 2nd place and tried to make up the almost two seconds behind the first. A second entry of the safety car on the track allowed the Luxembourger to get closer to his opponent. The last five minutes were an intense fight, with Dylan Pereira finishing just four-tenths of a second behind the winner, ... The points collected with this 2nd place allowed Dylan Pereira to jump to 2nd position in the championship overall.

In the third race, which took place on Sunday afternoon, the Luxembourger got out of pole position, made a good start and immediately gained a small lead. A competitor's exit from the track forced the safety car to enter on the first lap. On the restart, the Förch Racing team driver held onto the lead, managing to keep his most direct opponent at bay and dominated the race to the finish line, securing one more victory.

Dylan Pereira returns to competition in two weeks for three more races, the fifth, sixth and seventh of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, which will take place from 16 to 18 October 2020 at the Austrian Red Bull Ring circuit in Spielberg, where the Luxembourger  won 1st and 2nd places last July, at the start of the 2020 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season.
