Luxembourg's Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development has announced the extension of the deadline for first registration under the "Clever fueren" financial aid scheme.

Taking into account the global shortage of conductors which has resulted in longer delivery times for new vehicles, the government is extending the deadline to register for the "Clever fueren" scheme for plug-in hybrid cars and vans by twelve months, i.e. until 31 December 2022. This applies to vehicles ordered by 30 September 2021 at the latest.

In order to ensure that only vehicles whose first registration was scheduled for 2021 are affected by this extension, the initially scheduled delivery date must be clearly indicated on the sales contract or, in the case of leasing, on the vehicle rental or leasing contract.
