Luxembourgish communication agency Farvest has announced the decision to rebrand its "Automotion" media platform as "SmartMobility".

Automotion, a media platform and events creator in the Grand Duchy, will be broadening its scope towards broad mobility during this period of digital transformation of the sector.

Created in 2010, the Automotion community has brought together over a dozen thousand professionals from the fleet and automotive sectors via its website and its events organised in the Grand Duchy. Notable examples include the traditional FleetNight and its Luxembourg Fleet Awards, as well as the Mobility Summit.

The new platform, called "SmartMobility", will continue to focus on automotive innovation, with a particular focus on startups that reinvent the sector, new technologies that allow the development of new kinds of mobility, autonomous vehicles and smart cities. It will also closely follow the development of the Luxembourg Government's mobility strategy as well as the good practices and new solutions of local actors.

Charlotte Boutelier, Head of Marketing at Farvest, explained: "The automotive sector, and the entire mobility sector, has undergone a profound transformation for several years now, and dealerships and manufacturers now have to respond to users' flexible and instantaneous needs. Therefore, whilst Automotion was interested in the car fleet sector in Luxembourg, SmartMobility will look at the wider - and growing - sector of mobility, now focussed on the user experience".

Upcoming events associated with SmartMobility include the reinvented Mobility Summit, accompanied by a Logistics Summit, as part of Human Capital Europe (HCE), taking place in Luxembourg on 26 November 2019.
