To help members of the public get involved in the multilingualism of the Luxembourgish capital, the Ville de Luxembourg has launched a website providing detailed information of language courses available.
With a population comprised of 160 different nationalities, Luxembourg City is a multicultural capital where demand for language capabilities is on the rise. To this end, the Ville de Luxembourg decided to establish a tri-lingual website in English, French and German to help citizens find the right language course tailored to their needs and requirements.
Site users will be able to unearth courses comprising a variety of levels - including Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Intensive Training - and languages, such as French, German, English, Italian, Russian and Swedish. Luxembourgish culture classes and specially-adapted initiation classes for the Grand Duchy, as well as sign language courses, are also available.
The search engine allows for a tailored search, based on a range of criteria including neighbourhood and region, language and level of courses, dates and schedule, reduced price and regular rates, availability, course organiser, quality standards and access for people of reduced mobility.
The list of courses can be found at www.cours.vdl.lu
