Last week, 210 children aged 9 and under in Luxembourg tested positive (PCR tests) for SARS-CoV-2 infection, i.e. the highest number in 2021 so far.

The PCR test positivity rate (i.e.the number of positive tests out of every 100 PCR tests carried out) was 13.2%. Again, this was the highest recorded so far in Luxembourg in 2021. In comparison, the test positivity rate was 7.0% for rest of the population. The lowest test positivity rate of 1.0% was observed in residents aged 80 or over.
