The National Association of Dietitians of Luxembourg (Association Nationale des Diététiciens du Luxembourg – ANDL) is set to celebrate its 40th anniversary on Saturday 21 June 2025.

According to ANDL, the event aims to highlight the key responsibilities of dietitians and their role in promoting public health in Luxembourg.

Qualified dietitians in Luxembourg are recognised healthcare professionals authorised to practise by the Ministry of Health and Social Security. As reported by ANDL, they work across a range of fields with both healthy individuals and patients, including preventive and therapeutic dietary care, group education, cooking workshops, food production and hygiene management, collective catering, and training for other professionals such as healthcare staff, sports coaches and business employees.

ANDL noted that dietitians are trained in science-based nutrition and are authorised to offer follow-up care and nutritional guidance. In some medical cases, their consultations are reimbursed by the National Health Fund (CNS).

Marking its 40th anniversary, the association reaffirmed its commitment to promoting evidence-based nutrition and the role of qualified dietitians in supporting individual and public health.
