On Friday 29 October 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 182 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 843 fatalities (no new deaths since Wednesday) resulting from the virus to date.
182 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Friday from a total of 4,013 tests carried out the day before, representing 28.67 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 4.54%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 104.57.
A total of 33 people are in hospital with the virus, including eleven patients in intensive care.
There are currently 1,981 active infections known, whilst a total of 78,859 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproduction rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.06.
A total of 813,161 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (432,539 first doses, 380,622 second doses). A total of 420,403 people are now fully vaccinated.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
