At a press conference on Wednesday 11 August 2019, Luxembourg's Minister of Health, Paulette Lenert, addressed the issue of COVID-19 vaccination centres being scaled down.
Along with vaccination in medical offices, vaccination centres across the country will be gradually put on standby. Thus, the “LuxExpo the Box”, Mondorf and Ettelbruck centres will close on 14 August, followed by Findel / LAR on 21 August. The vaccination centre in Esch will remain open until 11 September. The Hall Victor Hugo at Limpertsberg will remain open. From 30 August, one can go spontaneously to the Victor Hugo vaccination centre, without prior appointment.
The minister stressed that the vaccination centres closing will go on standby and can be quickly operational if necessary.
