On Monday 19 July 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported seven new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 821 fatalities (one new death since Friday) resulting from the virus to date.

Seven Luxembourg residents tested positive on Monday from a total of 356 tests carried out the day before, representing 1.10 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 1.97%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 72.71.

A total of thirteen people are in hospital with the virus, including five patients in intensive care.

As per figures from Thursday 15 July 2021, there were 1,789 active infections known, whilst a total of 70,150 people had recovered from the virus. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.88.

A total of 653,749 vaccinations have been carried out in Luxembourg to date (385,713 first doses, 268,036 second doses).

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
