On Tuesday 15 June 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 21 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 818 fatalities (no new deaths since 1 June) resulting from the virus to date.
21 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Tuesday from a total of 7,430 tests carried out the day before, representing 3.31 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 0.28%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 19.57.
A total of ten people are in hospital with the virus, including two patients in intensive care.
As per figures from Monday 14 June 2021, there are currently 518 active infections known, whilst a total of 69,130 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.72.
As of Monday, a total of 446,564 vaccinations had been carried out in Luxembourg (270,860 first doses, 175,704 second doses); 2,653 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 4,279 received their second dose on Monday.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
