On Monday 29 March 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 26 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections for Sunday (with 292 on Saturday); there have been 741 fatalities (three new deaths since Saturday) resulting from the virus to date.

26 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Monday from a total of 884 tests carried out the day before, representing 4.15 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 5.34%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases. 

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 240.57. The lowest (since the most recent wave started mid-October) was 113.00 on 19 January.

A total of 129 people are in hospital with the virus, including 22 patients in intensive care. 

As per figures from Monday 29 March 2021, there are currently 3,468 active infections known, whilst a total of 56,864 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.12.

As of Monday, a total of 86,556 vaccinations had been carried out in Luxembourg; 1,788 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 537 received their second dose on Thursday.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
