On Tuesday 16 March 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 185 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 697 fatalities (four new deaths since Monday) resulting from the virus to date.
185 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Tuesday from a total of 10,260 tests carried out the day before, representing 29.55 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 1.80%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 184.14. The lowest (since the most recent wave started mid-October) was 113.00 on 19 January.
A total of 128 people are in hospital with the virus, including 26 patients in intensive care.
As per figures from Monday 15 March 2021, there are currently 2,886 active infections known, whilst a total of 54,528 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.04.
As of Monday, a total of 60,587 vaccinations had been carried out in Luxembourg; 1,257 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 283 received their second dose on Monday.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
