On Thursday 11 March 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 265 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 675 fatalities (two new deaths since Wednesday) resulting from the virus to date.

265 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Thursday from a total of 11,193 tests carried out the day before, representing 42.32 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 2.37%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases. 

The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 172.86. The lowest (since the most recent wave started mid-October) was 113.00 on 19 January.

A total of 124 people are in hospital with the virus, including 30 patients in intensive care. 

As per figures from Wednesday 10 March 2021, there are currently 2,898 active infections known, whilst a total of 53,748 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.94.

As of Wednesday, a total of 51,457 vaccinations had been carried out in Luxembourg; 2,162 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 333 received their second dose on Wednesday.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
