On Wednesday 10 February 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 225 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 602 fatalities (two new deaths since Tuesday) resulting from the virus to date.
225 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Wednesday from a total of 11,697 tests carried out the day before, representing 35.94 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 1.92%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 159.14.
A total of 66 people are in hospital with the virus, including twelve patients in intensive care.
As per figures from Tuesday 9 February 2021, there are currently 2,696 active infections known, whilst a total of 48,949 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 0.95.
As of Tuesday, a total of 18,653 vaccinations had been carried out in Luxembourg; 138 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 376 received their second dose on Tuesday.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
