On Tuesday 2 February 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 190 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 586 fatalities (two new deaths since Monday) resulting from the virus to date.
190 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Tuesday from a total of 10,979 tests carried out the day before, representing 30.35 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 1.73%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 152.86.
A total of 68 people are in hospital with the virus, including thirteen patients in intensive care.
As per figures from Monday 1 February 2021, there are currently 2,331 active infections known, whilst a total of 48,006 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.08.
As of Monday, a total of 13,241 vaccinations had been carried out in Luxembourg; 586 individuals received their first dose of the vaccine and 225 received their second dose on Monday.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
