On Monday 1 February 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 34 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 584 fatalities (four new deaths since Sunday) resulting from the virus to date.
34 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Monday from a total of 545 tests carried out the day before, representing 5.43 people per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 6.24%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 142.71.
A total of 65 people are in hospital with the virus, including eleven patients in intensive care.
As per figures from Sunday 31 January 2021, there are currently 2,175 active infections known, whilst a total of 47,974 people have recovered from the virus to date. The effective reproductive rate in Luxembourg stands at 1.10.
As of Sunday, a total of 12,428 vaccinations had been carried out in Luxembourg.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
