On Monday 21 December 2020, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 91 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 450 fatalities (six more deaths since Sunday) resulting from the virus to date.
91 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Monday from a total of 1,018 tests carried out the day before, representing 14.53 per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 8.94%. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
207 people are in hospital with the virus, including 38 patients in intensive care. There are 7,026 active infections known, whilst a total of 37,106 people have recovered from the virus to date.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) is currently 383.00.
The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg stands at 0.87.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
