Luxembourg's Prime Minister Xavier Bettel has gone into self-isolation.

The decision follows the news that French President Emmanuel Macron, with whom Luxembourg's Prime Minister participated in the European Council last Thursday and Friday, has tested positive for COVID-19.

As a precautionary measure, Prime Minister Xavier Bettel will undergo a screening test and will remain in self-isolation until receipt of the test results.

The Prime Minister is currently showing no symptoms and will continue to fully exercise his tasks and functions, through teleworking.
