Luxembourg's Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth has published an evolution of the COVID-19 situation in Luxembourg schools between 23 - 29 November 2020.

The figures for students and teachers who test positive for COVID-19 relate to all public and private primary and secondary schools located in Luxembourg. During the week from 23 - 29 November 2020:

- 426 positive cases corresponding to scenario 1 were counted in public and private primary schools and high schools and in skill centres (scenario 1: infected pupil or teacher outside the school without any had the virus spread at school).

- 162 cases corresponding to scenario 2 were observed in public and private primary schools and high schools and in a skills centre (scenario 2: maximum two positive cases in a class with an uncertain source of infection or probably outside the class).

- 99 positive cases of scenario 3 type were identified in public and private primary schools and high schools (scenario 3: three to five positive cases in a class).

- During the period under review, the situation in a secondary school evolved into scenario 4. This scenario 4 was triggered by 13 new positive cases during the week of 23-29 November 2020.

In general, the number of positive cases remains relatively stable.
