On Tuesday 1 December 2020, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 451 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 330 fatalities (nine more deaths since Monday) resulting from the virus to date.
451 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Tuesday from a total of 9,233 tests carried out the day before, representing 72.03 per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 4.88. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) in cases is now 509.29; the record of 678.57 was set on 3 November 2020.
212 people are in hospital with the virus, including 42 patients in intensive care. As at Monday 30 November, there were 8,643 active infections known, whilst a total of 26,156 people have recovered from the virus to date.
The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg stands at 0.97.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
