On Friday 27 November 2020, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 535 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 300 fatalities (six more deaths since Thursday) resulting from the virus to date.
535 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Friday from a total of 11,431 tests carried out the day before, representing 85.45 per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 4.67. Wednesday 18 November 2020 marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) in cases is now 520.29; the record of 678.57 was set on 3 November 2020.
220 people are in hospital with the virus, including 43 patients in intensive care. As at Thursday 26 November, there were 9,036 active infections known, whilst a total of 24,073 people have recovered from the virus to date.
The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg stands at 0.97.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
