On Thursday 19 November 2020, Luxembourg's Ministry of Health reported 670 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) infections; there have been 254 fatalities (six more deaths since Wednesday) resulting from the virus to date.
670 Luxembourg residents tested positive on Thursday from a total of 11,021 tests carried out the day before, representing 1,760 per 100,000 inhabitants. The positivity rate was 6.06. Yesterday, Wednesday 18 November 2020, marked the record daily high of 891 new cases.
The average daily increase (over a 7-day period) in cases is now 574.86; the record of 678.57 was set on 3 November 2020.
221 people are in hospital with the virus, including 44 patients in intensive care. There are currently 9,758 active infections known, whilst a total of 19,231 people have recovered from the virus to date.
The effective reproductive number in Luxembourg stands at 1.03.

Since 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health's published figures only include resident infection numbers, as opposed to earlier figures which included both residents and non-residents (i.e. cross-border workers).
