On Wednesday 30 September 2026, Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn reported on the 2026 edition of the Rose Festival, which took place at Roseraie Château de Munsbach, on Sunday 20 September.

According to Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn, visitors to the event were able to catch their first glimpse of the expanded rose garden of the Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn in the picturesque grounds of Munsbach Castle and took the opportunity to visit the new 334 m² extension to the rose garden. The enlarged area for roses was created by the municipality of Schuttrange. In December, the Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn plans to plant some roses and selected perennials in the new rose garden, including new varieties.

Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn reported that many visitors travelled in groups by bus to draw inspiration from the abundance of lovingly crafted rose accessories at the Rose Festival and to visit their favourite rose in the garden. Among them were the Fraen a Mammen from Clervaux, who were delighted by their Cliärrwer Rous, which was named by the Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn in the summer. The sunny yellow, fragrant rose took the last available spot in the existing rose garden, so its successors will have to wait until the expanded rose garden is planted.

The Lëtzebuerger Rousefrënn stand offered assistance to those looking for expert advice on selecting suitable rose varieties or caring for roses, and selected exhibitors offered plenty of great ideas that make the Rose Festival a unique yearly event, inspiring visitors for the next gardening season.

The Roseraie Château de Munsbach is free of charge and open to the public at all times. It has been awarded the “Award of Garden Excellence” by the World Federation of Rose Societies. Informative signs provide an overview of the rose varieties and invite visitors at any time of year to make plans for their own individual rose garden.
