The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they carried out a large-scale control operation in the area around Luxembourg central station on Tuesday 28 July 2026.

During the operation, police focused on increasing their visibility and presence inside the station and on the platforms.

During the checks, officers identified a visibly intoxicated man who was harassing security staff. As he posed a danger to himself and others due to his condition, he was temporarily taken into police custody.

In addition, two individuals were unable to provide identification during the operation and were taken to a police station for identity verification.

A total of fourteen police officers, including two dog handlers, took part in the operation.
