On Thursday 5 November 2026, Kollektiv Logementskris announced that 33 organisations, including non-governmental organisations (NGOs), trade unions and youth groups, would join a demonstration against Luxembourg's housing crisis on Friday 13 November 2026.”

Scheduled to take place on Friday 13 November 2026, the demonstration is organised by Kollektiv Logementskris. It will begin at 18:00 at Royal Hamilius in Luxembourg-Ville, with participants marching towards the Chamber of Deputies (Luxembourg’s parliament).

In a joint statement, the organisations highlighted that the housing crisis affects people across Luxembourg, regardless of nationality or age, with particularly serious consequences for vulnerable groups.

The organisations described the housing crisis as "one of the most structural crises facing our country" and called for ambitious, long-term measures that take environmental and climate considerations into account.

The organisations expressed concern about delays in implementing several structural measures intended to address the housing crisis.

According to the statement, the tax on undeveloped land will not become fully effective until 2035, while the draft law establishing a national register of buildings and housing is not expected to be adopted until late autumn 2028.

The organisations also noted that the proposed reform of rent caps remains at the consultation stage.

They called for these and other structural measures to be adopted as quickly as possible to address the housing crisis.

Among the 33 signatories are Amnesty International Luxembourg, ASTI, Greenpeace Lëtzebuerg, Luxembourg Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (LCGB), Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL), Médecins du Monde Luxembourg, Mieterschutz asbl, Mouvement Ecologique, Passerell, Young Caritas and several student and youth organisations.

The announcement follows an earlier demonstration organised by thirteen youth organisations outside Luxembourg's parliament on Tuesday 27 October 2026, which attracted more than 150 participants calling for affordable housing and stronger measures against property speculation.
