On Wednesday 28 October 2026, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) announced that as a result of infrastructure works on Rue Cents, traffic arrangements will be adapted from Saturday 31 October to Sunday 1 November 2026.
The VdL said that between 05:30 on Saturday and 12:00 on Sunday Rue Cents will be closed to all traffic on the section between Allée du Carmel and Rue Op der Heed, and Rue Camille Polfer will be closed to all traffic on the section between Rue Cents and Rue Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila.
The City of Luxembourg’s Traffic Department confirmed it will ensure that appropriate signage is installed.
The following changes will also apply to municipal bus services:
Bus routes 7 and 29
⁃ Routes 7 and 29 will be diverted in both directions via the Irrgarten roundabout. The following stops will not be served: Cents-Waassertuerm, Camille Polfer, Carmel, Trèves, Robert Bruch and Cents-Kierch (route 7), as well as Cents-Hamm, Halte CFL Quai 3+4. These stops will be replaced by Cents-Hamm, Halte CFL Quai 1+2.
⁃ Bus route 14 towards Cents-Waassertuerm
⁃ Route 14 will be diverted from Gabriel de Marie Quai 1 via Rue des Alouettes and the Irrgarten roundabout. The following stops will not be served: Trèves Quai 1, Carmel Quai 1, Paul Albrecht Quai 1 and Camille Polfer Quai 3. They will be replaced by Trèves Quai 2.
Bus route 14 towards Hamilius
⁃ Route 14 will be diverted via the Irrgarten roundabout and Rue des Alouettes. The following stops will not be served: Camille Polfer Quai 4, Paul Albrecht Quai 2, Carmel Quai 2 and Trèves Quai 2. They will be replaced by Robert Bruch Quai 3.
Bus route CN1
⁃ Route CN1 will be diverted via the Irrgarten roundabout and Rue des Alouettes. The following stops will not be served: Camille Polfer and Robert Bruch Quai 2, Trèves Quai 2, Carmel Quai 2 and Camille Polfer Quai 2. They will be replaced by École Cents Quai 2.
In the event of adverse weather conditions, the works will be postponed.
