On Wednesday 28 October 2026, Luxembourg’s Roads and Bridges Administration announced that as part of the widening of the A3 motorway roadworks will take place at the Livange interchange from Friday 30 October until Monday 2 November.
According to the administration, the entrance and exit ramps at the Livange interchange, as well as the N31 near the interchange ramps, will be completely closed to traffic in both directions from approximately 21:00 on Friday until around 04:00 on Monday to minimise traffic disruption during the week as much as possible.
The following will be affected by the closure:
• All entrance and exit ramps at the Livange interchange in both directions.
• The N31 between Rue Joseph Lentz and Rue de Turi.
Road users travelling on the A3 towards Luxembourg who wish to reach the Livange area must continue along the A3 towards Luxembourg as far as the Gluck roundabout. The diversion will then continue via the N4A and the CR186 to Kockelscheuer.
From Kockelscheuer:
• Road users wishing to access the eastern side of the Livange interchange will be diverted via the CR158 and the CR159.
• Road users wishing to access the western side (towards Bettembourg) must continue along the CR186.
Road users travelling on the A3 towards Metz who wish to reach the Livange area must continue along the A3 towards Metz as far as the Bettembourg junction. The diversion will then continue via the A13 towards Schengen, the Hellange interchange and the N13 to Bettembourg.
From Bettembourg:
• Road users wishing to access the eastern side of the Livange interchange will be diverted via the CR132 and the CR159.
• Road users wishing to access the western side must continue along the N31.
Further details of the closures can be found on the CITA website.
