On Saturday 10 October 2026, d’stater muséeën and ICOM Luxembourg held Luxembourg City's 25th Museum Night, recording a historic 29,282 visits, marking a 15% increase compared to the previous year.
According to ICOM Luxembourg, the event achieved the highest attendance in its history. Seven museums across Luxembourg City participated, offering 46 activities, including guided tours, creative workshops, artistic performances, concerts and DJ sets. From 17:00 until 01:00, visitors had the opportunity to explore museum collections and exhibitions in a different atmosphere.
To mark the 25th anniversary, the seven participating museums collaborated with illustrator Irina Moons on a special artistic project. Visitors received an illustrated booklet with the purchase of a wristband and could collect original stamps at each museum to complete the illustrations as a souvenir of the evening.
The programme featured a range of musical and artistic performances. At Villa Vauban, Arthur Possing and Pierre Cocq-Amann performed jazz standards and improvisations, while Casino Luxembourg hosted an interactive electro-acoustic installation, Pipes Have Their Ways, by Emile Demerliac and Léo-Victor Seguin. The Lëtzebuerg City Museum also organised its traditional Sing Along! activity.
Other highlights included a performance by Carmen Luisa at the Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart, Valérie Crouzet's La Femme Crocodile at the Naturmusée and a jazz performance by Daniel Migliosi's quartet at the Musée Dräi Eechelen.
At Mudam Luxembourg, RN7 Production presented Rien ne se passe – panoplie de la diversion, a dance performance exploring the conventions of live performance and visitors' interactions with museum spaces.
The d'stater muséeën group confirmed that the 26th edition of Museum Night will take place on Saturday 9 October 2027.
