The Centre national de littérature and the Rose de Claire graphic agency today announced that their exhibition catalogue 'La Dédicace - De la Diversité des envois et dédicaces dans les livres has won a prestigious German Design Award 2016 in the category of 'Excellent Communications Design - Editorial'.

The catalogue, edited by Claude D. Conter, had previously won a Luxembourg Design-Award in the category of 'Book Design' earlier in 2015.

A jury made up of Lukas Cottrell, Armin Illion and Jianjun Xie stated that 'Dédicaces' was an extraordinary catalogue made up of a variety of unique handwritten and printed dedications in books. In the CNL there are more than 4,000 volumes of handwritten or printed dedications. 38 different dedications or presentations were selected for the volume and displayed in the 240x300mm catalogue in a variety of visual concepts.

The German Design Award is the international prize of the German Design Council, which aims to discover unique design trends to present and reward. Although it was only begun in 2012, the German Design Award is already one of the most respected design competitions in world and attracts high-profile submissions, each of which are leading in the international design scene in their own way.

The award ceremony for the German Design Award 2015 will take place on 13 February 2016 at the international Ambiente fair held in Messe Frankfurt.
