Clifford Chance, an international law firm with an office in Luxembourg, has announced that it assisted Partners Group, one of the world's pre-eminent private markets investment managers, on the acquisition of a majority stake in Rovensa, a leading provider of specialty crop nutrition, protection and biocontrol products, in a transaction valued at around €1.1 billion.

Rovensa's portfolio of agricultural solutions and technologies is considered crucial for farmers to enhance crop yields and provide food security. The firm specialises in formulating sustainable products which reduce the environmental impact of agriculture, combat its contribution to climate change and support the cultivation of healthy food.

The International Clifford Chance team advising Partners Group acted on both the acquisition and the financing of the transaction.

The team comprised partner Katia Gauzès, senior advisor Lauren Harris and associates Konrad Kanaan, Megi Bllaca, Cristina Mudure and Camille Fantozzi (all Corporate, Luxembourg), partner Marc Mehlen, counsel Audrey Mucciante and associate Donald Sefer (all Finance, Luxembourg), partner Geoffrey Scardoni and counsel Maxime Budzin (both Tax, Luxembourg), partner Jenine Hulsman and associate Sophie Halls (both Corporate, London), partner Owen Lysak and associate Paula Caamaño Sambade (both Finance, London).

A wider team from the firm's Paris and Milan offices also supported the matter.
