The partners of Elvinger Hoss Prussen have announced the latest promotions to partners of Elisabeth Adam and Elisabeth Omes.
Elisabeth Adam focuses on Luxembourg and international tax law, including transactional and investment related tax matters and tax planning for industrial groups and private equity houses, structured finance transactions, distressed debt acquisition and estate planning as well as on transactional corporate and financing matters. She holds a DESS (diplôme d’études supérieures spécialisées) in tax law and a DJCE (diplôme de juriste conseil d’entreprises) from the University of Nancy II (France) as well as a Magister in Rechte from the University of Trier (Germany).
She started her career as tax adviser with a Luxembourg Big Four accounting firm before working for several years as in-house international tax manager for a major industrial group in Luxembourg. Elisabeth joined Elvinger Hoss Prussen in 2007 and became a member of the Luxembourg Bar in 2008. She is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), of the International Bar Association (IBA) and of the Luxembourg Private Equity Association (LPEA). She is fluent in English, German and French.
Elisabeth Omes specialises in banking, insurance and finance, as well as in litigation. She joined the Luxembourg Bar in 1998. She is maître en droit privé from the University Robert Schuman of Strasbourg (France) and holds a DEA (diplôme d’études approfondies) in comparative law from the University of Brussels (Belgium).
Before joining Elvinger Hoss Prussen, she worked in the legal department of the CSSF (Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier) and for almost 10 years in the Banking & Finance department of another law firm in Luxembourg. She is an associate member of the Institut Grand-Ducal, Section des Sciences morales et politiques. She is also a member of the board of the Luxembourg Association of Banking Lawyers (ALJB), a member of the editorial board of the Bulletin Droit et Banque published by the ALJB, as well as editorial secretary of the Journal des tribunaux – Luxembourg (JTL). She has published a number of articles mainly in the fields of banking law, insurance law and litigation, and is a co-author of a book on the banker’s liability in Luxembourg banking private law. She is a vice-president of the board of the Luxembourg Committee for UNICEF. She is fluent in English, French, German and Luxembourgish.
