Luxembourg independent law firm Arendt & Medernach celebrated the 10th anniversary of its New York office, marking a decade-long presence in the United States.
The New York office, initiated by founding partners Guy Harles, Paul Mousel and Claude Kremer, was the first established by Arendt & Medernach abroad and began the development of the law firm's international presence.
The law firm stated that it aimed to stay close to its client base whilst simultaneously developing an optimal efficiency of US-Luxembourg business, by demonstrating the economic benefits of the Grand Duchy as a logical partner for US investment in Europe.
It also intends to contribute to Luxembourg's positioning as a second international home for investment funds, after America. The office is headed by Bob Calmes, a Partner specialised in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and the structuring of private equity and hedge funds.
The 10th anniversary is being celebrated in New York today, in the presence of several Associates and Luxembourg and American figures.
