On Tuesday, Millicom announced the appointment of Susy Bobenrieth as its Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer; she assumes the role on 1 November 2017.
Susy joins Millicom with more than two and a half decades of experience in HR management across emerging and developed markets. Most recently Susy was Vice President HR Latin America at Nike Inc., where she led an organisational transformation and the structuring and implementation of a talent management strategy to support competitive and dynamic business development and growth.
The broad variety of HR functions held by Susy during her time at Nike, including as VP HR Western and Central Europe, Senior HR Director Central Europe, Middle East & Africa, HR Director Commercial, EMEA, and Learning & Development Director, makes her exceptionally well-placed to lead the global HR function at Millicom. Prior to her tenure at Nike, Susy also held various HR functions at American President Lines. Susy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and an Associate Degree in Computer Technology.
